Safe To Grow Policy
The church is committed to following safe practice in its dealings with children, young people and vulnerable adults. It has therefore adopted the guidelines and procedures published by the Baptist Union of Great Britain in its publication Safe to Grow (revised edition) As part of that commitment the church has appointed a Safe-to-Grow Co-ordinator Gillian Maidens. We ensure that all our childrens and young peoples workers have Enhanced Disclosures from Criminal Records Bureau.

Thursday Night Activities
What is the 'Good News Club'?
The Good News Club was set up in March 1999 at Newport Cottage Care Centre. In 2001 it moved to Newport Baptist Church. The club is for children aged 4 to 11 years old, and on a typical night there are songs, games, quizzes, craft activities. But the main aim is to teach the children about the bible, basically the 'Good News' about Jesus and have loads of fun learning about him.
And what about 'Hyper'?
In 2008 HYPER (Helping Young People Explore Religion) was formed, for young people aged 11 +.
Why don't you come along on a Thursday 6 - 7 pm and see what we are doing?
We look forward to seeing you there!
